Before Thy Face
As I gaze on your face divine
So full of sweet compassion
Your thorn crowned head bent in love
To speak words of pardon for my sin.
Your arms are stretched out to embrace
With treasures of love and confidence.
The sacred feet and hands are nailed
Which once went about doing good.
Healing the sick, blessing the children
Nailed to the cross and covered with Blood.
From the crown of your sacred head
To the sole of your feet gushing blood.
Jesus crucified our redemption
The ladder that leads us to heaven
The living memorial of your love
Abba father’s gift from above.
May we carry our cross lovingly
Follow in your footsteps steadfastly.
When we delight in our sins and vices
We take part in crucifying Jesus
But if we love Jesus with all our heart
And love every one with tender heart
On our death bed he will say words of love
Today you will be with me in paradise.
HAIL HOLY CORSS
Sr. MARIA ASSUMPTA.
